《西游记》中，二郎神的身份与其在神话中的形象有何不同？听调不听宣，这一现象源自哪些传说故事？

在《西游记》中，为了捉拿孙悟空，天庭决定派出二郎神！二郎神在天廷中有着特殊的地位，他“听调不听宣”。

“听调不听宣”到底是怎么一回事呢？

所谓“调”，就是有啥事，咱们商量着来，我下命令之前，先征询一下你的意见，有点商量的余地——这事这么办行不？这事你来帮哥一把怎么样？

所谓”宣“，就是自上而下，命令式的、强制式的！叫你干啥你就干啥，没有一点商量的余地。不听话?找死是吧？你跟领导谈条件试试？

那么，那些牛人，凭什么这么”牛“？还不是看谁手里面的兵多、谁势力大！一切靠实力说话。

二郎神的实力没说的，一身九转玄功出神入化、三尖两刃刀威猛无比。手下兄弟众多!师门背景深厚，所以当然有这个底气！

为什么统治者会容忍有人”听调不听宣“呢？

一般有这几种类型：

一、出于考虑：例如罗成的父亲罗艺。

二、出于稳定的考虑：边远地区需要边将以相当大的权力。

三、出于收买人心：刘邦对英布等能征善战的人要给他们地盘和待遇。

《西游记》的故事，与俗世中的统治架构并没有什么区别。所以，“listen to the tune but not listen to the proclamation" is very normal.

猛人的悲凉下场

所谓"listen to the tune but not listen to the proclamation", looks powerful, but when you peel off the phenomenon and look at its essence, it's just a power-saving measure, a compromise.

It's a "non-normal" governing attitude. A normal, stable, orderly government will never tolerate an unruly force group that cannot be controlled. No one can tolerate an uncontrolled warrior who loses supervision and cannot be balanced.

韩信 was called War God; his war achievements were as great as they could be in Han Dynasty; yet he was eventually killed in deep palace!

Wu Sangui opened Shanhai Pass and led Qing troops into Beijing from there; though his merit was unmatched among all generals of Ming Dynasty, he ended up with death by defeat!

The tragic fate of these mighty men! How pitiful! But it is well-deserved!

No emperor would ever tolerate this potential threat in temporary compromise and retreats before using lightning-fast means to collect all power under their own hand! The feudal lords' rebellion or military governors holding sway over their own armies — who can guarantee you won't develop treachery later?

If one wants a peaceful life, they should simply give up their military power and territory and live peacefully like a rich merchant. Otherwise, sooner or later they'll invite disaster upon themselves!

Two things are necessary for two people: relationship (guanxi) and strength (li). So what if someone listens to orders but doesn't follow proclamations? It's no big deal.

Sun Wukong had real strength too; he was made "Great Sage Equaling Heaven". He appeared brilliant on paper! Yet at last...he was sealed away beneath Five Elements Mountain for 500 years!

Behind all glory and grandeur lies competition of mights & collisions. How many empires have risen & fallen? How many celestial beings have flashed across history?! All boils down to whose sword cuts faster!!
