人物生平
早年的经历
Yang Shi Qi was born on February 3, 1366, in Taihe County, Jiangxi Province. His father passed away when he was one year old, and his mother remarried to Lu Xing, who was a local official at the time. Yang Shi Qi changed his surname back to Yang when he discovered that his ancestor's tablet had been neglected during a family ancestral ritual by Lu Xing.
After serving as an editor for the Ming Taizu Shilu (Annals of the Founding Emperor), Yang Shi Qi entered the Hanlin Academy and became an assistant compiler for historical records. He later served as a censorial official in charge of examining officials' writings before they were presented to the emperor.
In 1400, while serving under Zhu Di (the future Ming Chengzu Emperor), Yang Shi Qi compiled two volumes of poetry and prose known as "The Four Treasuries" or "The Eight Trigrams." These works showcased his literary talents and earned him recognition among scholars.
During Zhu Di's reign, Yang Shi Qi held various positions within government offices such as chief minister (Zhengshi) and grand secretary (Taichang). In addition to these roles, he also acted as tutor to several princes including Prince Jianwen () who would eventually become Zhu Di himself. As a result of this close relationship with Zhu Di (), he became instrumental in helping shape policies towards foreign affairs like Korea and Mongolia during this period.
As part of his duties related to foreign relations with other countries like Korea (), Japan (), Vietnam () & Mongols (; see History of China-Mongolia relations), he helped establish diplomatic ties between these nations through treaties signed by both sides agreeing not only trade but also mutual respect; which significantly impacted regional politics & economic exchanges over time!
