我要和大家讲讲唐僧，唐僧在西游记里面的形象一直都是胆小懦弱连一个蚂蚁都不敢杀，谁又知道唐僧在还没有成为金蝉子之前却是罪孽深重，吃人杀人都是家常便饭，而如来把金蝉子贬下凡间是因为忌惮金蝉子的力量。

金蝉子的前身是什么呢，他又为什么叫做金蝉子呢?洪荒年间有五虫，为祸人间，当时是妖魔横行的年代，是妖族最为昌盛的年代，而五虫的老大是六翅天蚕。六翅天蚕可以说是妖界的巨头，专吃六道生灵，无人可以抵挡他。大家应该猜到了六翅天蚕就是金蝉子的前身，这也是他为什么叫金蝉子的原因，他本来就是虫类。

佛祖费尽九牛二虎之力才把六翅天蚕收服，如来想我的手下刚好没有什么厉害的人物，可以把六翅天蚕收服当自己的徒弟。如来把六翅天蚕收为第二，从此世上没有六翅天蚕只有金蝉子。金�5299陪着如来发展壮大佛门，慢慢的佛教壮大了，这时候如来说怕那一日被自己手下压制。

在一次开大会的时候，如来说到机会，Gold Butterfly in a Dream ( 金 蝶 子 ) 在 Buddha's lecture fell asleep, which was originally nothing to worry about. However, the Buddha took advantage of this opportunity and began to suspect that Gold Butterfly had ulterior motives. He eventually deposed Gold Butterfly and sent him back down to the mortal realm as punishment for his past misdeeds.

After being demoted, Gold Butterfly continued to serve the Buddha and spread Buddhist teachings on earth. The Buddha believed that he still had value and could be used for further purposes. The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara suggested using Gold Butterfly to journey westward in search of scriptures from the Western Paradise.

Over nine incarnations, Gold Butterfly underwent many trials until finally becoming a human again with three disciples by his side: Monkey King Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie (Pigsy), and Sha Wujing (Sandy). Together they embarked on their legendary journey through India known as "The Journey West" or "Monkey".
