Ninh Zhèngzé, the heroine of Jin Yong's novel "Journey to the West," is a legendary figure in the martial arts world. As the wife of Yue Bung and the mother of Yue Ling-chun, she is also a senior sister and teacher to Luk Sing-fung (the protagonist). Her real name is Ning Zhèngzé, but she was known as "Yueh Fong-yuen" in her youth.

Ninh Zhèngzé was born into a family that valued martial arts and literature. She was skilled in both swordplay and poetry. Her most famous poems are those about her love for her husband, Yue Bung.
